In the hotel world, employee injuries occur regardless of the care and training provided. The Mobile-Pack is the perfect alternative for hotels that use the large housekeeping carts and do not plan to transition to the Mobile-Pack cartless solution. We recommend that hotels maintain between two to five packs, depending upon the size of the property, to ensure that there are a sufficient number of packs available when accidents do occur, resulting in the necessity for an alternate method of cleaning guest rooms.
Predicated upon the limitations placed upon an employee by a physician, the injured employee’s workload will have to be modified to accommodate his/her physical restrictions.
Physicians will need to be familiarized with our product, and this can be accomplished by viewing the streaming video available on our website. The video is four minutes long, and will undoubtedly be well-received. Other information could be provided as necessary and/or requested.
The impact of the cartless solution is that injured employees can remain productive, continue to do the job they were hired to perform, thereby minimizing a total loss of productivity. The injured employees will continue to feel productive, and will be able to return to full duty more quickly.
For Example:
Assume that a Room Attendant normally cleans 14-16 credits while using a cart. By utilizing the Mobile-Pack during light duty necessitated by injury, the Room Attendant’s assignment may be reduced based upon the individual’s doctor’s orders. The employee would be given 53 minutes to clean each credit during an eight hour shift, with 30 minutes for lunch, separately from the two 15 minute breaks. Implementing this process during periods of light duty will significantly reduce lost productivity, and ensure a proactive approach to the employee’s welfare.
